Who doesn’t want to look all the time, but looking good is not everyone’s cup of tea. If a person wants to look good he has to take care of himself/ herself, like the skin should be perfect, hair should be properly styled and good dressing sense, these things make a person look beautiful.
So when it comes to dressing, everyone wants to have a princess moment, where you can wear those fancy gowns, long tail dresses and show off your beautiful skin in an off shoulder long dress and if you are participating in a ballroom dance competition, then you have a chance to look absolutely beautiful by getting yourself a customized dress, that fits you perfectly and supports in giving your best performance with full confidence.
Custom made ballroom competition dress:
When going for a custom made, you need to tell the designer about all your requirements, as to what you want and what is the song that you are performing on and what dance form are you going to perform, these things are important and should be considered when looking for a dress for a dance competition and not just any dance competition, its a ballroom dance competition so your dress needs to be perfect, to make an impression on the judges and the audience.
The dresses made for such competitions are not ordinary dresses and involves a lot of hard work and use expensive materials like crystal, laces, beads, stones, tussles and nets that can withstand any kind of weather conditions and don’t give up at the time of performance or while performing. But if you want your dress to standout then it’s important that you pair it with proper accessories so your overall look comes out perfect.
What to wear:
A dress for ballroom dance needs to be full of glamour and shine. But there is different dress for different dance forms, like if you are going to perform waltz you will need a long dress to go with it, but for samba you will need a short dress. But if you want to be on the safe side then you can wear black long gown, as black suits everyone and you can pair it with your partner or you can go with red that always looks good, but if you really want stand out then do something different be a little adventurous and go for blue, green, yellow or even purple is a good option.
Before wearing the dress to the main event, always wear the dress while practicing so that you can know how comfortable it will be for you to dance in that certain dress.
To buy or not to buy:
If you can afford then you can buy these fancy gowns made especially for ballroom dances or you can go for gowns that are available for rent that won’t cost you a fortune because you won’t be wearing that gown again and again, maybe you wear it twice or thrice but not more than that then whats the point of spending that much money on a dress which you are hardly going to wear for few hours, so getting a dress on rent would be a better option in terms of cost. But there are also many disadvantages of this option, like if by any means the dress got damaged while in your possession then you will have to pay for the damages, for reserving the dress you have to pay the reservation fees which is often not refundable, if you got it altered as per your body then make sure it’s done in a way that can be reversed as the company would want the dress in the same size.
